Drink These Herbal Healing Teas To Chase Away Whatever Ails You
Herbal teas have amazing calming and healing power. If you are not already a tea drinker, now is a good time to start!
Here is a basic recipe for making any of the herbal teas shown in the infographic below. Some of the specific recipes shown may vary from the proportions listed here, just use this recipe as a guideline.
First, rinse out a non-metal container to use for brewing your tea. Metal containers can leave impurities and an “off” taste in the tea. Glass containers work great for brewing herbal tea. In general, add 2 tablespoons of fresh herb, or 1 tablespoon of dried, to the pot for each cup of tea you want to brew. Add an additional 2 tablespoons of fresh or 1 tablespoon dried herb “for the pot” for added strength and quality. If you are making iced tea, increase by one tablespoon to allow for melting ice which will dilute the tea.
Spoon the herbs into the non-metal pot, and pour in boiling water. Allow to brew, covered, for about five minutes. Go a little less if you prefer weaker tea, a little more if you like the strong stuff. When done, enjoy! You can garnish the tea with herbal sprigs, or citrus fruits, if desired.
