Hazelnut oil is a common ingredient in lotions and facial creams due to its preserving qualities. Hazelnut oil is rich in fatty acid and vitamin E that can help lighten and reduce scar tissue. Apply hazelnut oil every day before going to sleep to reduce the scar’s appearance.
Aloe Vera is known to help reduce sunburn and sun damage. It is also great for rejuvenating the skin and locking in moisture. Take an Aloe Vera leaf and crush it, extract the gel and directly apply it on your scar.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple Cider Vinegar is a famous ingredient in natural remedies. ACV is great for the skin, it can help moisturize and improve skin health. Dab a cotton ball or cotton bud in apple cider vinegar and gently apply on the scar. If your scar is on your face directly applying ACV on the skin may be too harsh. Mix one part apple cider and 2 parts water together. Use this mixture on the scar to promote fading.
These natural remedies can lightly reduce or remove light scars, but severe and deeper scars may need medical procedures or laser removal. Before applying anything on the skin or face perform a patch test.
